A Testimony by Eric – My name is Eric, and I want to share a true story — a personal testimony of how YAHWEH revealed Himself to me in one of the most uncertain times of my life. His voice, His timing, and His provision changed everything.

The Search for Purpose After Graduation

After graduating from a university in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree, I was hopeful and expectant. I had put in the work, developed skills, and believed that doors would naturally open. But despite all my efforts — attending job fairs, networking on LinkedIn, and applying my best communication skills — I couldn’t secure a single job.

Prior to grad school, I had prayed while driving past a particular university, asking the Lord to allow me to pursue my master’s degree there. Finances were a concern, but when I brought it up with my mom, she said something that stayed with me: “If GOD gave you the intelligence, then pursue it — and trust Him for the finances.” I moved forward in faith and, by His grace, graduated.

No Job Offers, Just One Whisper

As graduation approached, I once again began applying for jobs, this time even more diligently. But nothing came through. No interviews. No callbacks. Then one day, while on computer applying for jobs, I heard a quiet voice in my spirit say: “Type in ‘internships.’”

At first, I resisted. I didn’t want an internship — I needed a real, stable job. But the prompting was persistent, and I chose to obey. That simple act of obedience led me to discover an opportunity that fit me perfectly. I applied and received an interview. Time passed, and I heard nothing more. Life moved on, and I continued seeking help from people — but I wasn’t truly seeking help from Him.

The Dream That Changed Everything

Then something happened that I will never forget.

One night, I fell into a deep sleep. In my dream, my eyes were open, but I couldn’t see — as if a blindfold had been placed over them. Though I was unable to see, I was completely aware. Then I heard a voice — deep, authoritative, assertive yet filled with love. By faith, I knew it was the voice of Abba YAH, the Father.

He said:

“I AM THE BOSS. I AM THE PROMOTER.”

He repeated it three times, with a tone like a loving Father correcting His child — not in anger, but in firm, divine authority. As He spoke, I simultaneously heard the flapping of wings in my ears, followed by a soft whisper:

“Deuteronomy 1… Deuteronomy 1…”

When I awoke, I was in tears. The weight of His presence and message was overwhelming. I realized I had been seeking guidance but not truly seeking Him, YAHWEH — not returning to A’havati HaRishona, {Hebrew for my First Love}. In deep humility, I got out of bed, dropped to my knees, lifted my hands, and cried out to EL CHAI — The Living God:

“You are the Boss. You are the Promoter.”

It was my response of surrender. I wanted Him to know that I received His message fully, that I recognized His authority and placed my trust in Him alone.

The Confirmation

Later that morning, I went to work as usual. When I logged into my computer, the first email that appeared on my screen began with the word:

“Congratulations.”

I had been offered the very position I had applied for months earlier — the same one I found after following the Holy Spirit’s prompting to search for internships.

I was stunned. The timing, the dream, the words — everything aligned. I knew without a doubt: this was YAHWEH’s hand.

Returning to Obedience and Dependence

From that moment on, I began to read Deuteronomy and realized its relevance: blessings for obedience and consequences for disobedience. I saw myself in those pages. I repented for my old ways and learned what it meant to depend fully on YAHWEH, through Jesus Christ, His Son. I chose to take up my cross and follow Him (Matthew 16:24 KJV).

Years later, I was re-baptized and prayed for the fire of the Holy Spirit. In the midst of that spiritual renewal, another miracle happened — I received a full reimbursement of all my graduate school loans.

Final Reflections

This testimony is 100% true.

I now know — deeply, personally — that:

YAHWEH is the Boss. YAHWEH is the Promoter. YAHWEH is the Provider.
Jesus Christ is the True Shepherd, and The Holy Spirit is our Helper
